Buying non-GMO, Heritage Seeds
|March 25, 2013||Posted by Kelly under Gardening|
If you haven’t done so already, it is time to order those seeds for your veggie garden! This year I have decided to grow only non-GMO, heritage seeds. There are a lot of companies out there and this is new territory for me. Last year I got most of my seeds from Rohrer Seeds, this year I purchased most of my seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. Baker Creek has a good reputation and a large selection of non-GMO and heirloom seeds. I ordered a few herbs from Seeds Now and I got my seed potatoes from Rohrer Seeds. Make sure you check the shipping costs and policies if you live outside of the United States!
I will report back at the end of the growing season to let you know how the seeds worked out from each company. Ordering was easy and shipping didn’t take too long. Baker Creek and Rohrer Seeds both offer catalogs and both have useful information in them!
