I was given the opportunity to review the ebook “Growing Culinary Herbs in Containers” by Anja Koch, available for instant download on your Kindle or order the PDF here. This 85 page book goes into great detail on everything you need to have a successful herb garden. I reviewed the PDF version.
Where should you grow your herbs? She explains good places to grow your herbs, including which direction they should face. Anja covers soil, which herbs grow best indoors, and details on how to grow herbs from seeds.
All her pages are well laid out and easy to read. She lists all the herbs and adds her thoughts on each, including the flavor, how to harvest it, and recipes it is popular in.
All plants need water, she spends a few pages, making sure you know the proper way and the amount to water each of the herbs you are growing. No one likes pests on their plants, Anja offers suggestions on how to deal with pests and diseases.
One of the charts that I like the best is on how to harvest and store the herbs. Since I’m planning a garden to make my own seasonings, this is very valuable information.

The reason I highly recommend this ebook – She offers really great details on each herb. Not only are there helpful charts, but about halfway through she goes into detail on each individual herb and offers information on cooking, growing, harvesting, and a quick guide for each. If you are like me and want to print out the pages on specific herbs to keep in a binder, you will want to order the PDF version directly from her website.
This book is a definitely must have for anyone looking to grow an herb garden! Make sure you stop by the website for more information!
