Sewing a baby swaddler and Donation to the thrift shop

Today was a busy day. We had a yard sale last weekend and today I finally made it to the thrift shop to donate everything that didn’t sell. It was actually quite painless, I drove up to the drop off point, unloaded the van and a nice gentleman came out to help me take it all inside. It feels good to have that stuff out of my house and out of my van!
We did some other errands and running around, then I came home to work on some sewing. I cut out the material for a bathroom curtain I’m going to whip up. It wasn’t part of my plans to make a curtain…. you see yesterday when I opened the blind to let the cat in (he thinks the window is a kitty door) the blind fell down on me. I was hoping it would be an easy fix, but hubby said it is trash now. Even though I realize that blinds are pretty cheap (the kind we use anyway), I just can’t justify buying one, when I have fabric. I picked out two materials that match my bathroom pretty well and I’m going to make a simple ruffled curtain. I will post pictures when I’m finished.
In the meantime, I have this picture to share with you. It is a custom swaddler that I made for a baby girl.
