Today I am thankful for beautiful weather

Fall is my favorite time of the year! I enjoy the leaves changing color, the crisp air, the smells, and the feeling. Today is a beautiful day outside. The sun is shining, for the most part, the air is crisp and breezy. The leaves are starting to change here, slowly, but they are changing. There is a slight chill in the air, but that doesn’t bother me at all. I have the windows open so that fall can come inside.

Normally on a day like today we would go outside. Go to the park for a walk, sit on the bench by the pond, or just work on younger daughter’s schoolwork. Today, however, I must wait for the dialysis supply delivery truck. They can’t leave the boxes outside, so I must wait for them to come and put them all in the house for me. This day is always emotionally hard and now that I can’t go enjoy the weather, it is a little sadder. But the windows are open and I’m determined to enjoy the day even if I can’t go where I would like to.
